Why am I expecting miracles? Because Jesus has already done so many!
I’m living in an ongoing miracle… the miracle of my salvation, of being born again, of life as a new creation, of my spirit come to life in Christ, of the gift to dwell in the house of the Lord forever!
Every big or little prayer He’s answered this season feels like a miracle too.
I came to YWAM Mazatlan with almost nothing, just a backpack full of hand-me-down clothes and a desire to know God. I prayed He would provide the finances necessary for me to stay for all the teachings and to go on outreach and He did! Can you believe over $6250 was raised to put me through Discipleship Training School?! I’m so grateful for each one of you who gave.
It’s a miracle too that each time I ask the Holy Spirit to help me pray, He guides my my mind and my words to exactly what I need to express to the Lord, receive from Him, and surrender to Him. Yes, praying in the Spirit of the Lord is an answered prayer in itself.
It’s a miracle too that each time I sit down with my Bible and pray for fresh revelation from His Word, He provides just the right guidance for my circumstances that day. The Bible is a truly magical and Holy book. The richness of it astounds me.
It’s a miracle too that I prayed for extra money to buy supplies for outreach and it was given.
It’s a miracle too that without even asking, God knew it would be nice for me to have a little spending money to enjoy things on outreach and it was given.
It’s a miracle too that I prayed for Him to provide clothes which cover more and keep me warm and they’ve appeared… fleeces, flannels, t-shirts, cardigans all for free.
It’s a miracle too that I prayed to encounter Jesus and He has appeared time and time again to walk with me, dance with me, and gaze lovingly into my eyes. He has given me peace, joy, comfort, and the most fulfilling love that could ever be. He has been healing past hurts and renewing my body and soul. Life with His presence is just a taste of heaven. Miraculous!
There’s so many more answered prayers and miracles I could share but I just want to shout about how excited I am for outreach, the people I’m going to serve, and my future life with Christ.
Another thing I’ve prayed deeply for and received was guidance on how to prepare and share my testimony, a devotional, and two sermons to give on outreach. I have a loose outline for each that mostly consists of the scripture He put on my heart and my response to it. Yes, I’ll be preaching on outreach! I’m excited because I know the Holy Spirit will come upon me and take over.
We had a great teaching today from Asher Madsen, the son of our base directors. It got me so excited for outreach because the culture we are creating and spreading all around the world is just so beautiful.
With God at the center, the foundation is love. He taught us that forgiveness is not a one-time event, forgiveness is the very air we breathe. Even though conditions will be tough, our team is ready to bask in His presence and be filled with love and forgiveness for one another.
We’re all sinners and we all fall short of the glory God intended for us, but he offers His forgiveness freely. He is our example…
We love because He loved us first. We forgive because He forgave us first.
We have everlasting life in Christ and He is worthy of His reward… the body of Christ, His bride.
We’re getting ready for you, Jesus.
Let’s goooooo!
Love,
Alyssa
